The second transnational meeting of the AI Lead project took place in Valencia, Spain, on May 15-16, 2025, hosted by MindLeap. All partners participated (Confindustria Pesaro Urbino and Università Politecnica delle Marche from Italy, ECECE from Austria and Mindelap from Spain), with two members from each organisation.
The meeting gathered project partners to discuss the progress made and to align the next steps for the upcoming months.
Meeting Overview
The two-day event focused on reviewing the project’s current activities and planning for future steps. Discussions covered a range of topics and work packages aimed at enhancing the implementation of AI-tools in SMEs practices.

Key topics included:
- AI Lead MOOC – An overview of the progress on the online course aimed at supporting SMEs by providing managers and workers with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate AI into their daily operations. The course will focus on enhancing efficiency and performance through the use of AI technologies.
- AI Facilitator Kit – Partners discussed the development of a facilitator kit, designed to offer VET trainers practical resources and guidelines for integrating AI tools into their training programs for SMEs. The kit will equip trainers with the necessary technical expertise to assist SMEs in adopting AI technologies.
- Training Course – The partnership presented plans for a training course tailored to VET trainers. This course will focus on improving their skills in delivering AI-related training for SMEs, helping them to better guide SME managers and workers in the effective use of AI tools.
- Pilot Testing – Plans were reviewed for the pilot testing phase, which will involve gathering feedback from a select group of SMEs, managers, and VET trainers. The feedback will help refine the developed resources and ensure they meet the needs of the target audience.
- Multiplier Event – Partners discussed the upcoming multiplier event, which will aim to showcase the project’s outcomes to a wider audience, fostering greater awareness and engagement around the integration of AI tools in SMEs.
- Dissemination Strategy – The partners outlined the next steps for promoting the project’s resources and outcomes, ensuring the broad dissemination of the tools and materials developed throughout the project, to maximize its impact on SMEs and VET trainers.

Next Steps:
Over the next months, the partners will focus on:
- Finalizing the AI Lead MOOC and ensuring it’s available in multiple languages.
- Completing the development of the AI Facilitator Kit and training resources.
- Conducting Pilot Testing with educators to refine the tools.
- Organizing the Multiplier Event and continuing the dissemination of project results.
The meeting was a success, with clear plans for the next phase of the project.
