The N-GREEN Toolkit is now available in multiple languages

The N-GREEN project has reached an important milestone with the publication of its practical Toolkit, now available in English, Spanish, Catalan, Italian and Danish.

Led by MindLeap, the development of the N-GREEN Toolkit has brought together the experience and contributions of the project partners to create a practical resource for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), community workers, volunteers and other local actors interested in promoting environmental sustainability at neighbourhood level.

The Toolkit is designed to accompany organisations through the different stages of developing a local initiative. It provides guidance, practical tools and templates that can be adapted to different neighbourhoods, organisations and community contexts.

Starting from the analysis of the local context, users are supported in identifying environmental issues and priorities, mapping relevant stakeholders and deciding how to involve the community. The Toolkit then moves towards action, helping organisations define local challenges, co-design possible solutions and translate them into realistic action plans. It also addresses implementation, communication, behaviour change and the monitoring of progress.

Putting the Toolkit into practice

Publication is not the final step. The Toolkit is also being used within the N-GREEN local Hackathons organised in the partner countries.

During these activities, participants work in small groups on real environmental challenges affecting their neighbourhoods. They use the Toolkit to analyse the local context, identify priorities, consider the actors who should be involved, develop possible solutions and prepare concrete actions.

This practical testing also gives participants the opportunity to provide feedback on the Toolkit itself, helping the partnership understand how its content, tools and templates work when applied in real community settings.

For MindLeap, which has led the development of the Toolkit, this represents an important transition from the design of the resource to its practical application by the organisations and communities it was created to support.
